Survivors as Collaborators

Although it is a known fact that child sex trafficking is often perpetrated by family members, limited research has been done on this type of sexual exploitation by the survivor community.  SAFE was started in 2019 in order to close the gap in the anti-trafficking movement by bringing together adult survivors of familial exploitation & CSEC in a collaborative effort to end the trafficking of very young children. SAFE functions as a platform to harness the power of their collective narratives.

This network of professional survivors includes advocates, consultants, and educators working together to develop identifying profiles of victim and trafficker characteristics, intervention strategies, as well as best practices for therapeutic recovery.
